ENG: Recycling is one of the most popular principles in tactical urbanism or hacking the public spaces and launching diy objects for individual and group use. The patchwork aesthetics of recycled furniture, made of old doors, windows and palletes creates a contrast with the oficial representations of the cities, polished and shiny. Recycling is kind of urban archeology, which preserves sometimes rare textures and color combinations. We collected some examples of DIY furniture and small urban spaces, arranged in Berlin.

Tempelhof Feld, Berlin 2015
Urban gardens is an open space, yet fragmented to individual plots.
This multifunctional furniture corresponds both to the need to store garden tools and to have a shared place (table).

Tempelhof Feld, Berlin 2015
Urban gardens is a part of this huge recreational zone, claimed by people of Berlin.
Spontaneously conceptual solution for public urban garden, which merges the notions of “outside” and “inside”, “public” and “private”.

Flohmarkt at Mauerpark, Berlin 2015
Boats are indeed a multifunctional object!
These shelves bring the lapping of the waves to the city, and brings citizens to the sea.
Meanwhile, Mauerpark has been already handed to developers, and a new quarter is going to be built instead of the Flee Market.

Tempelhof Feld, Berlin 2o15
Light & green solution for a seasonal placemaking.
It could be possible to “grow” the chair, table and other urban furniture as well:)

Mitte, Berlin 2015
Another example of DIY placemaking in one of the quiet yards of Mitte in Berlin.

Mitte, Berlin 2015
Sharing is Caring: not only a furniture to leave and find useful items,
but also a tiny place to spend some time with the book.

mano baldai virtuvei panašių spalvų kaip irmoje nuotraukoje. Jau žinočiau, kur šitą spitelę panaudoti!

Teko pabuvoti Berlyne maždaug prieš keturis metus. Vakarų berlynas labai gražus, sutvarkytas. Rytų pusėje atvirkščiai – pilna statybinių šiukšlių, pastatai apleisti. Netgi žmonės susiraukę labiau nei Lietuvos provincijose :)
